There are three basic components to basic astrology, the planets, the signs, and the houses.
The planets are the power, they are the energetic forces or sounds that are going to be influencing everything.

In ancient astrology there are seven traditional planets and in modern astrology there are the ten planets you know of –
Both traditional and modern astrology have their merit, however I prefer focusing and learning traditional astrology using the geocentric model. The earth been fixed.

Modern astrology adds the outermost planets such as Neptune Uranus and Pluto and uses heliocentric model so Iv no interest in it – but these planets move so slowly that they’re more of a generational influence and we could be all dead in ten years 👻😆

The only times to really consider them is when their aspect another planet, such as a conjunction, and opposition, or a square.
For example if somebody had Pluto
conjunct Venus and their second house conjunct means conjoined right next to.

So that person is probably be very controlling with both money and love.
The seven traditional planets signs are the powers that are going to express themselves through rose-colored glasses.

The planets or energies affecting you are going to behave differently
depending on which sign they’re in. Every sign is ruled over by a particular planet.

There are 12 signs of the zodiac, and each sign will correspond to one of the four elements earth air fire and water, and the elements themselves will relate
to one of three particular qualities,
cardinal, fixed, or mutable.
Four elements times three qualities equals twelve signs.

The houses are that area of life which these influences are going to affect and influence.

There are twelve signs, and there are also 12 houses, and each of the houses are also ruled over by a particular planet.

So once you know what all the planets signs and houses mean, which sounds confusing and the what they correspond to, you’re on your way to knowing basic astrology.(where I’m at)
